So i'm sure there's been loads of these threads but I was wondering what you guys suggest I should get to help me with producing. As of now I have FL Studios 9 that I've had for over a year and lately have been trying to understand it more and more. My main problem is being able to put the idea I have for melodies into the program and producing the proper sound. I'm looking to spend about 400$ so could you guys help me out? thanks

No I don't no how to play the keys, I was going to have a friend who's been playing piano for some time now instruct me how, but if it isn't a necessity then I'll over look it.

I don't really plan on using the program to perform. When I mix I use traktor. more specifically just for making music.

Just all of the ones that come with it when you buy it, I am very new to music production and have watched countless hours of the tutorial videos which have helped with other aspects of producing, but I still can't pull it all together.

If your looking at producing sounds specifically Reason is the way to go. they have a very intuitive synth system that lets you create sounds just like that. the possibilites are only limited by your imagination and no im being serious
