Swedish "dubsteppy" rap song
Swedish "dubsteppy" rap song Posted on: 25.10.2011 by Sanjuanita Mcmonigle Hey guys!I've recently started to produce a lot of electronic music, going out of my comfort zone as a more metal/pop-writer/producer. This song was made as an experiment in Logic 8 to decide wich new program to learn (the other one was Ableton. I've been a Cubase-guy for years). I believe the song turned out pretty okay, musically, but I wasnt totally satisfied with Logic so I decided to go with Ableton instead. Got a lot of new stuff in the pipeline made in Ableton that I will post here, but in the meantime it would be great to hear what you guys believe of this track! http://soundcloud.com/theriotdj/the-riot-vs-mac-det-tar-aldrig-stop Thanks for listening! | |
Queen Sichel 31.10.2011 | +1 on liking the instrumental, I thought the vocals were a bit "sharp" (vassa) at times, maybe a de esser would help? The energy was really nice though. |

Sanjuanita Mcmonigle 06.11.2011 | Thank's man! I guess Im just poppy by nature, but I got some harder stuff in the pipeline as well =). |
Charline Dunch 05.11.2011 | very solid production. not diggin the vocals too much either. and a little bit too popish for my taste. |
Sanjuanita Mcmonigle 02.11.2011 | Thank's guys! Yeah you're right about the vocals needing de-esser. Im just not that good at mixing vox, but Ill try to do it better next time . Yeah I was also believeing of making the arrangements with instrumental choruses instead, but the song turned out more to be a popsong. But hey, this is 'ol crap now, next song will be better =) Thank's for listening though everybody! |

Omer Defillipo 31.10.2011 | I also really like the instrumental, the vocal verses are okay. Although I would really like it to be all instrumental on the chorus/drop. It would mix up the song dynamics in a nice way imo, and because the lyrics are kind of (very) stupid. I believe the track in general would benefit from small all instrumental sections, kind of like Foreign Beggars dubstep collaborations. But as I said, really good instrumental!! |
Marcellus Androski 29.10.2011 | Dope instrumental. Sorry though, I HATE SWEDES RAPPING IN ENGLISH. I used to listen to death rapper Necro.... brutal shit. Anyway, I got spammed on YouTube from a Swede's version of that type of rap. I listed to it and I wanted to kill myself. The English was fairly good but non native English speakers just cannot master the linguistics that are required to have lyrical genius. I'm nearly fluent in French and can speak very confidently, same for Russian and Arabic(actually Arabic is mediocre) but I can't master the complexities of them. Anyway....in regards to your track.....I did not like the rap although it was alright. The music was good though overall. I really was diggin the instrumental.....good job overall! Keep working on it, practice makes perfect and it's better than anything I've ever made. |
