Some Remixing Help

Some Remixing Help
Posted on: 02.01.2012 by Jerome Burruss
Hello all. I'm wondering what's the best way to execute a remix I want to do of an electro house song. I want to isolate the different components of the track, is this possible? Im using Ableton. Not to just re-organize the song, as in trigger different loops of the song, but a re-edit where I can change some of the patterns of the chords, etc.

Even if it's someone famous, wouldn't hurt to send them an email. 95 times out of 100, they'll ignore you unless you've already got several releases under your belt

Unless it's someone super-famous you could always try asking the person for the stems... Most people would be happy to for remixing purposes.

Alright thanks for the quick response. I had a great idea too. I guess I will try to mess around with it.

Sorry its not possible

your slim chance is to hope there was a remix competition and the stems were made available.

only way to change the chord patterns is to learn the notes and re-arrange the pattern/progression yourself with vst's
