| Rana Blessing 09.01.2012 | If they are a local/niche artist try meeting the person at a show and strike up a conversation before or after the gig. Introduce yourself as a DJ/producer who likes their music and would like to remix one of their songs. Exchange emails and follow up with them asking for the stems to whatever song you want. It may take awhile for them to respond since it's usually not a huge priority for them but its worked for me before. |
