BPM little question
BPM little question Posted on: 13.01.2012 by Neva Sparacino Hi i just have a little question that its buggin me when i put a d&b song in traktor it says 175 bpm and when i go to ableton and put it in an audio channelwhen warping i need to set the tempo to 87 and the complete track bpm too 87 I understand the logic of it (half) but its there any diferrence or can i put it in ableton in 175 without soundig incredible fast and without need of warping all the song? Its ther producers that make song at those different bpm? Those are different producing technics or just traktor and ableton having some marrital ishues? How can i fix it if it can be fixed? (i know its not an error) Thanks for anyone ho answer me | |

Charline Dunch 14.01.2012 | 175'ish is correct for drum&bass, just in case thats part of the question. i grid all my tracks from 100-199 bpm even if they're actually below 100 so it's easier to mash them up using sync-functions. also more tracks in the same bpm range. |

Marshall Aby 13.01.2012 | Use the x2 button in the warping section of the sample panel |
Neva Sparacino 13.01.2012 | i do it ahahah its the same thing two taps for 175 a 1 for 87 i meant its not really a answer thanks anyway man any other tip? |
Antonio Jackle 13.01.2012 | This may not be the answer to your question but try this.. Play the song in a program that doesnt give you the bpm and tap your foot to it. You will either tap to 175 bpm or 87.5 and the one that feels more right is right. Since 87.5 is half of 175 there shouldn't be a problem with using one or the other for this track as most programs recognize one song is double the speed. I hope this helps |
