Machine midi/usb question?
Posted on: 18.01.2012 by Tommie Siefkes
This is prob staring me in the face (altho I can't see the answer) on the Audio 10 there is midi in/out ports same on maschine.....now as both are connected threw the usb ports causing all sounds data needed.....what would connecting them threw the midi connection achieve??? As the usb route produces required results.

Thanks

I ran my Roland V drums through the Midi input on my MPK49. the vdrum brain does not have a USB interface so that was the only way to connect it.

you could also use the midi controllers to control non-computer based instruments that had a midi in. (stand alone synths etc).
