hey all,

I'm real new to production i am saving up and buying stuff here and there but i wanted to know what would be a good soundcard. I want to get something good that will last me awhile, not something to get me buy and than have to upgrade later.

thanks,

Firewire (IEEE 1394a) but otherwise a solid interface. No separate monitor volume control though.

I just bought a Focusrite Saffire Pro 14 (firewire) card for live instrument/voice processing, it has lovely preamps and enough I/O for most needs, you can check it's 24 and 40 sisters if you need more. All the line line is built like tanks.

Do you plan to record instruments and vocals? yes
