NI Massive, can't get the right melody
Posted on: 20.02.2012 by Georgianna Eurick
So I've bought the NI Massive added to Ableton Live and I was looking for some tutorials on Youtube. But the problem is I do everything exactly the same as I see on the video but can't get the same melody. I've also tried on furity loops and I get much more different melody. So I have 2 different melodies that sounds nothing like the tutorial. What am I supposed to do?

O yeah so that was the problem but I only have the 64-bit VST. Should I uninstall and install the 32-bit version? If there is an option ofc.

Yeah ofc I've rescanned it put it in another folder than rescanned that folder. Ableton sees all the plugins but not Massive

Sorry for the late reply. I've uninstalled and installed the 1.3 version. It works fine in FL but now Ableton doesn't see it.

Are you using Massive as a VST plugin in Live? Are you using multiple instances? Are you using a MIDI or audio effect which could affect pitch?

No way because this happens on every tutorial. I've discovered something. On tutorials it says "Midi all" at the top bottom of Massive but mine says "Midi omni" Could this be the reason?

Or you missed a part of the tutorial, or simply not pressing the same note on your keyboard ?

A sound synthetized by a VST will remain the same no matter what DAW you're using.
