Harmonic Mixing Color Codes in Ableton

If you use MixedInKey or similar tool to detect the key signature of a song...I just built a Max4Live device that will scan your clips and update the clip color based on the KEY stored in the ID3 Tag. Check it out...after all it's free, but it will save you loads of time if you want to have your clips color coded. It can scan a ton of clips in a matter of seconds...

Also, if you don't mind, could you post bugs on my site, so that I can track them easier. It's rather difficult checking all the various community s to see if anyone had issues.

The path you type in the text box needs to point to where the physical MP3 files are stored. The tool extracts the key value that is stored in the ID3 "KEY" tag. Not the name, or artist. This way you don't have to clutter your track names with this information and still color code your clips. Therefore the tool needs to be able to find the MP3s and read them directly.

I'm having trouble getting this to work.. I put the jar file in the correct folder. What I'm wondering is does it need to be directed to where my music files are located or to where the audio clips are located in the Live Set??

Also is there a specific spot the Keytag needs to be, ex- beginning of file name, or in the comments or does it matter?

Yea MIK claimed they trademarked the word camelot (which is absolute bullshit....I've checked), and they claimed they had a copyright on color coding tracks, which is also bullshit (according to an IP attorney in the family), however, since this is a free tool, I'm not prepared to take it to court to prove it, so I am just going to change the name and re-post it. I'll post it in few mins. Several people have downloaded it, but I haven't had any feedback, and since this is the first patch I have made available for public consumption I am not sure if I've packaged it up correctly so let me know on my site if you have any issues.

I sent you a MSG on FB. I'm interested in testing this out. I'll check the link when I get home.

This was up - I saw it. I wonder if Camelot (MIK?) made him take it down?
