I plan on producing techno, house, EDM, from artists like Swedish House Mafia, Avicii, Laidback Lule, Afrojack, etc. etc. I currently mess around with FL Studio, but what gear such as midi keyboards or any devices that would help in getting my foot in the door towards producing these house tracks? | |

DAW: Ableton (Live or Suite). Soundcloud has a few promotions at the moment with Ableton (free Live Intro for Soundcloud users, free subscription for Suite (and Live?) owners) Soft Synths: Massive ("pre-owned" serial numbers are just fine. Also bundled in Komplete and Komplete Ultimate, of course) Operator and Analog (both bundled in Suite. There are lots of serials for sale on the ableton community ) Pads: Maschine As far as keyboards go, the action is very important to me. Hammer action > semi-weighted > nothing. |
