Mellow Bass patches.
Mellow Bass patches. Posted on: 15.05.2012 by Jude Duchscher I have more of a melodic feel to one of my tracks I'm working on and It just doesn't sound right with heavy dubstep bass patches. I know my way around making sounds/patches in Massive but I'm just not getting very mellow sounds. If any of you have heard Flux Pavilion's new track "Daydreamer" the synth in the drop is more mellow than his usual tracks and fits very well with the more so melodic track. If anyone can help me out with some ideas, would be much appreciated. | |

Georgina Schatzman 15.05.2012 | Just put a filter over it and cut it pretty low. If you're going for a very "subby" bassline use a square wave and it will truly rumble. |
Nedra Fresneda 15.05.2012 | The bass on that track is sine based. Don't go will with distortion or resonance and opt for closed filters with little env action and slower decay. I prefer Sylenth for the job but I'm sure Massive can do the job just as well. http://soundcloud.com/deejaypaddy/gauteng Disclaimer: The bass on my track isn't sine based but it will give you a good idea on the rest of the suggestions. |
