Justin Schuurbiers - Dub Techno 1st try - Need honest feedback :)

So inspired by some awesome YouTube vids (Tarekith amongst) I've decided to give Dub Techno a go. Been working on this track since yesterday and this is the first track I've been satisfied with for ever in Ableton. The flow just got me and I kept going and going!

I hope you like it and please don't hesitate for honest feedback. It's just mastered a LITTLE bit since I'm learning.

Thanks in advance!

P.S.: I just love the 808 samples...

Yeah pretty much what jason said, good start for sure- definitely needs a 4 on the floor kick when it gets going.

Thank you so much for your reply! I'm certainly going to work further on it and other projects, just to keep things going and keep inspired. Maybe I'll send it to you for mastering .

Will look at the automation to open up the filter on the synth. You mean like drawing an envelope?

What do you believe of the clap? It has a ping pong delay of a few ms on it, to make it more 'snappy', I guess?

Do you not find it too empty or something? Because basically I want to keep it as 'dry' as possible.

The bassline (that deep sub) has been made with Operator and the Kick consists of 2 808 Kicks to give it that nice punch (been following a LOT of tutorials).

Is the mastering good for now?

I would try 4/4 kick once it gets going, instead of leaving the "4" out, and try to automate the filter on the synth to open up a bit to add some of that analog growl in there to give it some texture.

On the right path mate, work on a full arrangement next. Is the bassline just the 808 kick?

Just working out if it can work! But this is basically the main chorus. Do you like it? I want your opinion, because I love those! Hehe. And I'll upload a longer preview!

It's only a minute long, where's the rest of it?
