Are you really that dense? You actually Googled "EDM Genre Handbook"? Google is the handbook! Google Electro house, then read, listen, then move on tech house, read, listen, compare and contract with Electro house and so on.

Nothing of use comes up dude. This isn't my first go around the interwebs!

Why is it so interesting to copycat others? Make your own styles to get noticed.

The dance music manual v2 has whole chapters on producing various genres but not stuff like electro house- just covers house, techno, trance, hip hop, uk garage, drum and bass, ambient, and trip hop.

What other people said plus those drums sound of place. If you are going for electro house those don't sound like electro house drums- kind of breakbeat-ish and the x0x drum samples seem kind of out of place. If you listen electro house style percussion is a lot more minimal 4 on the floor but it is deliberate.

I don't listen to too much electro house anymore but if you want to hear drums programmed right and solid groove:

ok from the begining

intro is very very very very very flat sounding...when making an intro you have to have it sound interesting...if your going to do something simple like this then the sounds have to WOW people

:46
your focus is the synths but for something sounding like this the drums need to be the focus...your drums arnt coming through very well and they seem flat as well

throughout the entire thing is the same sounds...theres no evolution....electro is like a mountain with the begining and first breakdown leading up to the peak of the drop and it keeps going up and up until you start going towards the end where you go back down....things need to evolve and stay interesting

The same bass sound over and over?
Georgina Schatzman

Sorry mate, this is nothing but noise to me. Not much of a groove, and just way to dry. Some parts would be cool for a break down per se, but the track as a whole needs a lot of help.

Don't be afraid to just let the groove do it's thing, no need to have synth stabs all over the place firing off.

Here we go. Feedback on this please

You have the same bass sound throughout the whole track. mix it up so that when there is a chorus its a different bass sound than in the verses and intro etc. use reverb so things sound like the are distant and some are closer. there is a tonne of things but that is what first comes to min.
