I mean its gunna all come down to your ears and what you wanna do with the intro before you can do anything. I mean if you wanted a fade-in on the volume then automate that shit. Chop the intro up into some cue points in your traktor (taking a guess you use it :P) and spice the intro up. Use your imagination man if you wanna spice an intro up. I mean take a look at compressor's, delays, echos, distortions and chuck em on the intro and see how your liking it BUT to make beat matching easier by editing the intro of a track I would say aint gunna work. It'll just make it harder if your a beginner.
If you want help beat matching a new track's intro into your deck a/b then learn how to use your phrases. Always start your intro on the end of a phrase in the other track. A phrase is 8 counts of 4/4. So count to 32 beats (32 seconds) and that is 1 phrase. You can usually tell by the change in music which is the start of a new phase and when the end of one is coming up. Good way to practise is just count in your head and then cue up at the end of a phrase on another track. If you dont understand what im sayin man, have a look at these guides.

I don't know where you were coming you, it seems all he's asking is for is a simple program to add 8 bar intro to some tracks that don't have them.
Any sound editor will do: Audacity,Goldwave,Wavosaur. |
