everyone loves vsts and that gets a lot of talk on these boards but what about favorite hardware?

mine was a sequential circuits six trak. dont have it any longer, it was one of the earlier pieces i ever had and it was pretty simple - its 6 synths in one. it could be played polyphonically but that was boring to me, the interesting thing about it was the shitty pattern recorder it had where each voice became its own mono synth. it was clunky to program, the synth programming of the voices had to be done layer by layer, but it was interesting.

Roland D-50...probably because it was the first piece of hardware I owned/used. When we got our Triton almost 10 years ago, we were in love with it too.

I believe if I got anything with cv ins and outs my gf would kill me, the urge to make a modular sequencer rack to accompany a perfourmer would just be too much for me to bear...

Perfourmer MKII is the way to go, had a chance to play with one when they first came out. Very cool synth with a lot of neat features when you dig into it.

I would love to get the Perfoumer and DRM one of the days.

Tarekith - ha I hear that, the octatrak looks fun. Probably after the new year I'll the money free to buy one. Got to love how elektron stream lines programming into such a simple bank of encoders.

Jason - don't get me started on vermona, been lusting after a perfourmer for awhile now. Just great minimal design with a great sound.

Vermona Kick Lancet and and Mono Lancet. A friend let me borrow them for an extended period of time while he was out to sea (Navy man) and I couldn't get enough of them. Awesome little guys for the price. The Kick Lancet, while obviously making some killer analog kicks, was a beat at making punchy bass sounds as well. Just sample, drop it in Simpler and go crazy.

Poor mans 808 kick

Elektron Machinedrum, though lately the Octatrack is giving it a run for it's money.
