Thought I'd try here as I'm having no luck on the net.
I'm looking for the acapella to The Temper Trap - Sweet Disposition. I have the version that seems to be floating around on the internet but I want the version/edit used by Axwell, Dirty South, AN21 & Max Vangeli and so on.
If anyone can point me in the right direction that'd be great!
It's not AS good but the functionality of it does almost everything melodyne does. Melodyne came with my DAW (Studio One) but I am a previous user of FL Studio who used to use Newtone alot and when I moved to Studio One I had now problems using Melodyne as it was pretty much identical.
i have studio one, it came with my audio interface. i havent checked if it has melodyne with it i must look...
i do not own melodyne or Newtone. could you please try and see if you can remove the harmonies please... i will send you the acapella if you want (but they are easy to find online)
You can buy newtone separately (FL Studio is only containing the demo anyway) but I didn't quite get if it's a VST from what Image Line has written on their homepage. I got the feeling it's more likely to be a FL only plugin. But anyway you could integrate FL Studio itself as a VST plugin into another DAW if necessary.
Very interesting you say it's as good as melodyne as it's mentionned so rarely.

One could try to erase the harmonies in Melodyne... Just an idea. Probably would work with quite a good result. I also know that Axwell uses Melodyne a lot. I don't own Melodyne though...
Yehh I use melodyne alot on my vocal stuff and it works a charm. FL Studio's newtone is just as good suprisingly but im not sure if you can buy it as seperate VST.
if you could help me out, that'd be grand... its not the chopping up thats the issue. the issue is the harmonies during the part where the lead sings 'stay there, cause i'll be coming over.' the harmonies arent in the axwell version. but if you believe you can make them disappear then pls help me

Just chop up the Studio Acapella and arrange it so its the same as the Axwell then just filter and add reverb.
If someone still hasn't done this for you i'll help you out.

If you provide me with the studio version and an example of what you are looking for I will do the rearangments for you. I believe I am skilled enough. Plus I want the studio version I want to make a remix D
okay im downloading the trial version now gonna give it a whirl. i have worked with melodyne before so, i should be good thanks for the help. will let you know if i run into any problems
For the guys here who want to know how to remove the harmonics I had some time to play around with the acapella in melodyne and figured out a fix.
If you open the waveform in melodyne and playback a few times you'll see when the harmonics come in on the note scale in melodyne (much like a piano roll so anyone should be able to read it haha) and just scan everything above and below the chorus removing it. You'll still be left with a flew glitches and bleeps but thats from the chorus itself linking to the harmonics in melodyne and I dunno how to fix that cause im no master at it haha. My guess would be an alternate route of EQ'ing and Filter.

I'm guessing so. I do more DJing then production these days so was hoping someone in the know could hook me up.

Load the acapella in your favorite DJ software along with a few hotcues and tap away if you want a more "DJ" approach. You don't need to be a producer to move around phrases inside an audio editor either.
Thanks for the help guys but this is the studio version I already have. I want the edit as said above. If you listen to this and the Axwell & Dirty South remix you'll see the differences between the two versions.
