Going on holidays for 2 weeks and will be laying by the pool every day so looking for books on production for beginners/intermediate level producer.

Anyone recommend anything out there?

Hey there, I recommend you check out the Pyramind books. There a production school in S.F. and have a list of great books out. Audio Fundamentals, Music Business, etc. Check us out at Pyramind.com

The Chronciles of Lady Gaga "My days getting banged on an SSL 128 channel mixing desk" I found this a profoundly riveting read.

Ken Scott's autobiograhy Abbey Road to Ziggy Stardust was fun reading.

I also recommend the A Wizard A True Star Todd Rundgren In The Studio by Paul Myers biography or a lesser known but highly important producer in the rock world.
