It went over my head for one simple reason.. I have seen serious answers like that but the poster being dead serious. I'm glad you have mentioned it as a joke.

"How do i make tech house" is like asking the question "how do i build a nuclear sub"; it's absurdly general and nothing someone can answer simply in 1 post. Probably why it took so long for anyone to respond in the first place. That being said...

Learn how to program your own synthesis, A good way of doing this is playing with presents and doing different things to it (Modulate, Effects, Envelopes) and you'll slowly get the hang of it. Look up on youtube on "how to make 'song name' lead" and google. You'll want some basic drum samples so download a 909/808 pack which you can find all over the net for free or buy something that will let you make your own drum sounds (Better imo because you can decay, pitch, attack etc etc which allows you to make something more to your liking).

There's a good guide on starting the fundamentals of producing something.

Hope I helped!!
This is actually a good post. You need to understand how a genre works before you can just magically start producing it. Then you need to figure out how to execute the techniques you managed to pick out. Start there, thats a LOT of reading and youtube tutorial-ing before you go any further.

Take time and learn how to produce tracks using single hit samples and build them into a track. Nothing wrong with using samples too but my advice is to chop them up a bit and make them your own.

Ack.

The more you spend time trying to develop a style that is your own, the better for the world.

Sometimes the most interesting music is produced by someone who does not know how to make that style and just plunges ahead anyway.

Learn basic music theory. Focus on the basics likes modulation.

Then make your own 'Tech House Camp' Lock yourself in your room, preferably with a tent and only your laptop as a light source. After that listen to as much Tech House as possible. Analyse the structure. Is it always played with Majors? Minors? Harmonics? Where in a track do they modulate? How are the effects created? This should take you a good few weeks at least. I hope you're en suite.

After the musical groundwork, look at the artists themselves. Notice the beards. By now, you should have what we call a fairly respectable 'Tech House Beard' or THB for short. You'll need this for when you organise a photoshoot. It'll make you seem that much more professional.

I understand you may have your doubts but please observe:

Search Tutorials on Google/YouTube etc. Also take cues from other styles of music and not just specific tech-house tutorials.
