Not that I'm comparing ePenis though! I still have not seen any added value of FruityLoops' automation extras. Automations still have not gotten to the point that I desired on having, and was not able to automate on Ableton. If and when the Bitwig automation is the same as Ableton, I'd be more than content and confident in using it. To be honest the OP is asking for beta user experiences, I for one find Steve James his conclusions more solid to go by than yours. Sorry if this seems like a kick in the grill snoemu5a, but this is my opinion and I mean no offense to you. |

Random X 25.10.2012 | Cool, here's a perm ban! How about them apples, sweet cheeks. |
Sparkle Faldyn 24.10.2012 | Also, my comments were no racier than yours. Look at the big mod who can suspend people who don't agree with him. Go sit on it, you fairy. |
Sparkle Faldyn 24.10.2012 | Yes. I clearly stated that I was talking about the insert-part of the mixer. Not the (low resolution) fader + send&l/r below the channel track (at least in Live view). The way the mixer is integrated into the GUI is silly. Breakout window is a far superior solution when you're doing 8 bus channels sending stuff back and forth into eachother. And only two sends? C'mon. And why is there no built-in mid/side knob? It's a very stripped down and basic mixer, that is the opposite of limitless. You can workaround some of the stuff, with macros or what Ableton calls them, but the truth of the matter is that it does the very basics that a mixer should do, and nothing more. And if you can't see that, then you're obviously making very basic music. |
Random X 12.10.2012 | "Drop Audio Effects Here" is the mixer? Obviously mixing stuff up here. Also deleted your personal remarks and giving you a cool down period of a 10 days. |
Sparkle Faldyn 12.10.2012 | Pressing tab doesn't do anything to the mixer. At all. It's still on the bottom of the screen, yelling "Drop Audio Effects Here". *snip* But even though it's still a child, you can tell by the buck tooth and humpback that it's no future babe you're looking at. |

Celine Surico 11.10.2012 | No AU support which is a big no-no for me. Any decent DAW should support AU on the Mac platform. |
Lu Wubbenhorst 11.10.2012 | @snoemu5a now im not going to start a war of words here as I feel your comments are immature and of a troll nature - & from your writing you are someone who may well of had no experience of the beta at all. I am actually a registered beta tester and whilst I cannot and will not comment any further on what you have written, I will say this - you are incorrect and you know nothing other than what you have seen on the bitwig website (as described in your posts). For those looking for more information on Bitwig Studio and how it is progressing, here at Bitwig Beats (unofficial community) we will keep all updated with the actual facts when we can... www.bitwigbeats.com |
Ervin Calvery 11.10.2012 | No macros? |
Sparkle Faldyn 11.10.2012 | I find the browser system to be beyond moronic. And the mixer channels are at the bottom of the screen in a vertical fashion, and instead of having a clickable name to the effect it's always there, so if you do "crazy" 10-20 fx chains, like I often do, you'll have to minimize and dig everytime you need to change a tiny parameter. Don't get me wrong, Ableton is a fine piece of software, and it's capable of doing some pretty incredible things. it's just that there are a few design flaws that still havemt been fixed. Oh and automation. Better than in cubase, but far from being as brilliant as on FL Studio. |

Terra Merigold 10.10.2012 | That's too bad. Sounds like the 'hype' talk was bigger than their walk. That's too bad... as I don't like LIVE, but love some of it's features... hoping this would be a nice blend of Cubase and Live that I gelled with. |
Sparkle Faldyn 10.10.2012 | It's pretty bad. The GUI is far from being anything that can be called a finished product. Lots of bugs, cpu drain like a mafakka. I will def. not be spending any money on this. The ONLY plus with it is that it comes for Linux too, but tbh I'd rather use Reaper than this POS DAW. For the record, I have 15 years of experience using Cubase, FL Studio, Reason and Ableton+. |

Celine Surico 07.09.2012 | Not that many beta testers. I'm sure there's a reason why. No initial AU support was the biggest reason I will stay away from Bitwig until it's a first class DAW. |
Rosita Bourdeaux 07.09.2012 | Bump. I'm not sure if any testers will even read this but one can hope Edit: Well maybe it isn't so far out of the realm of possibility. Oh me of little faith |
