Drum basics production tutorials?

Hey guys,

I'm a deep house producer from germany. I work with ableton and since a few month i added maschine to my setup. Before maschine i always used drum loops from the internet in my track. since maschine i actually try to make the drums all by myself. My drums sound since them a little bit unusual but it's okay because, hey everybody wants to sound unique. But i kinda have a litte Snare rythm in my head an can't get that on into the software. Since i don't have any real drums experience i would want to learn a little bit about that.

Are there any drum rhytm basics tutorials out there?

play it with maschine at a slower bpm if you aren't fast enough, then raise the bpm to the desired value.

You have a maschine, tap it in... are you sure you're a producer?

the best thing you can do as an electronic musician is take basic drumming lessons... it helps with live performance (playing on key and stuff) and it helps in the studio when working with grooves. i would hit craigslist or something and try and find one... i was fortunate enough to have multiple drummer friends i taught with
