Got the download, have activated it in Service Centre but I get that red notice saying it can't find the stand-alone application and when I try to locate it in the folder there's nothing there.

I've only used it on drums and a synth lead, but I'm just learning the Maschine so take this with a grain of salt. I can predictably get everything from a band pass filter kind of effect to full overdriven/quasi-clipping beat the drums with a crow bar though a pillow wrapped in a garbage bag vibe, both working pretty well. I really wasn't expecting it to be as smooth/subtle as it is (or can be.) I like it.

what have you guys used driver for? I was all giggity giggity goo cause I read distortion pedal and its orange. then I fired it and it was ok, im not complaining. Was looking at it as a quick way to square wave the crap out of a kick drum. but no dice.

Yeah, it's hard to believe it was free. Really great sounds.

yeah you have to open in maschine (or ableton or fl), so make sure you install vst to the correct folder or add to you list of vst folders.

There's no stand alone application because it's a plug in. You can open it in any DAW that supports VST, RTAS or AU plugins (basically any DAW).
