Mastering songs

Hey DJ Techtoolers!

I am really into producing at the moment and really getting my flight-hours lately. But at the end of the song, ofcourse it needs to be mastered. Not yet very good at it.

Could you guys give me some pointers to make this remix sound better? Just some general tips and stuff I might have forgotten! Thanks!

Wow listened a bit to one of your latest tracks, really nice man! But that's a totally different genre than I produce/spin! But I love that downtempo stuff!

Got any tips on getting songs released?

Thanks Tarekith! I ran into those a few months ago, but right now I feel i got to the point I could actually understand it and apply it!

How do you like the remix btw? Or is it not your kind of music?

I used Izotope 5 and tried to master it a bit using the dynamics, imagizer, maximizer. And I always get that problem where my track sounds over-compressed ! But otherwise I don't hear certain sounds... I am probably doing something terribly wrong in my mixing.

Hey man, this is with FL Studio, using plug-ins like Massive, True Pianos and some other synths and there is some Sausage Fattener on the bass-line.

Yeah saw some breakbeat and stuff in there too!

Haha well that sounds simple haha! How in the name of god does one cut out the middleman? Just start a record company or something haha?

There's a bunch of different genres on that page, it's not all downtempo.

Advice for getting songs released? Write good songs and find a label that wants to release them Or just do it yourself and cut out the middle man.
