Stan Brevil 30.01.2013 | It depends on a bunch of factors and a lot of it just comes down to the specific track and whatever sounds best. Also if you are sending out to master you may have them run the dither on hardware. There a few recent threads floating around right now that will go more into that. I personally use POWr-1 for the most part but I use square every once in a while. Here's Ableton's quick explanation: https://www.ableton.com/answers/what...ender-dialogue And here's a good DJTT article to read through that explains it pretty well: http://www.djranking s.com/2012/09/2...-and-bitrates/ |
Benedict Vanhoose 30.01.2013 | If it is an original, that would i set the dither as? |
Obdulia Scurry 29.01.2013 | If you are sending it off to be mastered or are doing mastering later, you should export it as 24 bit instead of 16. |
Stan Brevil 29.01.2013 | WAV 44k Sample 16 Bit depth No dither on anything other than an original (anything else will have already been mastered and you don't want to dither twice). Which one is a bigger conversation which there are books on (and threads). |
