Ableton Live 8 buy or not to buy? Hmmm tuff one here. Posted on: 24.01.2013 by Jolynn Schroyer I'm believeing about purchasing Ableton Live 8.Pros and cons are running through my head. Pros are I could be teaching myself something that I find fun and more useful then the 5 hours of video games I put in a evening . Cons are if I end up sucking ass at producing then basically i'd lose the 400.00 I put to own the software. I like producing but basically I just watch youtube videos and copy exactly what they are doing and it's beginner stuff. Like using the "impulse feature". Wondering if I should even try this out, considering I can't even make a solid mix that people enjoy. | |

Nereida Jasnoch 10.02.2013 | My local music store has ableton live 8 for 299 euros (399 dollars) Will I save a lot of money if I get it now ? I have about a week left before live 9 hits the shelves right ? |

Latina Samon 08.02.2013 | Wasn't there some theory that Ableton put out a pirate copy of their software knowing that it's not the most accessible thing otherwise, and that way people will get into it and buy it eventually? They ran a poll on their site and it showed that a lot of people did get the pirate copy then bought it down the line when they knew they liked/could use it. |
Corey Tronchin 08.02.2013 | I like the offer they have at the moment with the 25% off and Live 9 for free. On the other hand I'm really interested in Bitwig. I have a feeling they'll stop with the Ableton offer as soon as Live 9 hits the shelves and I don't believe Bitwig will have any more information before that event. I suppose Bitwig is missing out on a big opportunity if they don't give more info on pricing/releasedate etc, since I don't believe I'm the only one in this pickle. I'm only getting 1 DAW, don't want to get used to 2 workflows since my time is limited as it is. |

Jolynn Schroyer 29.01.2013 | Thanks guys! I believe you all have done a good job and convinced me to just put the money down and further my education in producing. Especially the guy who's xbox 360 died out. I've thought about selling my systems because they really don't get me anywhere in life. I've had this xbox 360 for atleast 5 years or so and still hasn't died. Good motivation post though. |

Wallace Lawmaster 27.01.2013 | They have an intro version for cheap, but like mentioned before, get Live 8 now and upgrade to 9 for free. Either way, do it, I love Ableton Live. |
Jeannine Drobney 27.01.2013 | Best thing that ever happened to me technology wise was my Xbox 360 dying and me getting a copy of Ableton Live upgrade from lite. I have never looked back and been happier. Production is a passion and an education. If you are passionate about producing then you will stick with it until you get the results you want. Do it, get Live. |
Jolynn Schroyer 25.01.2013 | Sweet thanks for the helpful information guys. I don't believe i'll try to get the cracked Ableton Live version, I would rather support the company then to do that. |
Monserrate Rupnow 25.01.2013 | Plus you buy right now and I believe you get a free upgrade ot Live 9 as well. |
Monserrate Rupnow 25.01.2013 | Don't forget you can always sell the license later if you dont like it too. |
Tera Baragan 25.01.2013 | I mean you could get it other ways to see if its your thing. |
Jolynn Schroyer 25.01.2013 | I've been using it, I enjoy playing with it. I believe I'll purchase it. |
Ervin Calvery 24.01.2013 | 30 day free trial, yo. |
