Any thoughts on Focusrite Scarlett 2i2?
Posted on: 17.02.2013 by Starla Lansdon
Hey friends,

I'm planning on buying an audio interface for recording with my Shure SM58 and my Bass. I believe th ebest choice for me is the Scarlett 2i2 by Focusrite.

Has anyone got any further advice/thoughts/objections about this for me?

Do the bigger ones not perform as well when you're recording more channels, jason?
I was referring to the 2i2, as it obviously only has 2 I/O's. Still the same pre-amps as its bigger brothers though, so the sound quality is the same.

The Scarlett line is great, and the pre-amps are super warm and clean. As long as you're not planning to do any multi-tracking you'll be solid.

I've got one myself, really love it. Got lucky when I bought it that it was an open box and was $30 off. Friend of a friend who recommended it to me also loves his, it's real solid.

I really like mine.

It sounds awesome for the money. The drivers have been rock-solid. And it's impressively low latency how I use it.
