New live performance set up help
New live performance set up help Posted on: 09.03.2013 by Edmond Schulte Hello everyone, I've recently been trying to make the move from bedroom producer/DJ to live performance/DJ. I'm having some issues getting all of my gear to cooperate (MacBook Pro 10.7.5 2.5Ghz intel i5 4GB 1600MHz, Traktor S4, Reason 5, Boss DR-660, M-Audio Radium 49). Following all the instructions I found on syncing through midi, I have run into lot's of issues. 1)Traktor often freezes up and does weird things with midi tick when trying to sync with Reason. 2)Sync is never right on with Traktor/Reason/DR-660 3)Reason doesn't read Radium 49 at all (routed via Traktor's Midi In) 4)Broken plastic turntable cover via frustrated ninja hammer fist What I would like to do is have Traktor control all of the transporting (tempo/start/stop/etc), Use the Radium 49 to play synths in Reason while Reason also layers in sequenced stuff and send MIDI clock to the DR 660(this part seems to work pretty good but the timing is always slightly off) any and all input is welcome. Thanks. | |
