My sound is lacking power
My sound is lacking power Posted on: 19.06.2013 by Monique Lovekamp I made a Drum and Bass track. I wanted it to sound musical and somewhat cinematic. I like how it sound but there are a couple sounds that I want to be more present but I cant seem to get them louder without being over powering. I need help trying to bring everything out and balanced. The main sound I want to make more present is the ooooo aaaa sound. I sounds like a voice and a synth. Just ask me to clarify anything is im unclear https://soundcloud.com/dj_modz/modz-imperial-winds Also Ive gotten some feedback from other community s and they mention that my breaks lack rhythm. Any advice on what do add to make them more funky ? | |

Augustine Mitzen 21.06.2013 | compress it 6 times kunt |
Rodolfo Oriol 20.06.2013 | I agree with Polygon; bring everything down (not the master fader) and turn up those sounds that really needs to be heard. EQ the lows of your synth(s). EQ the low on the pads abit too, they're really high. A tip would be to lower the pads volume and increase the drums. The drums sounds a bit wierd; sounds very compressed. A really good tip would be to read this: http://tarekith.com/assets/mixdowns.html Great guide to lead you to mix your sounds together. On a side note: Really cool track! |
Rufus Ondrick 19.06.2013 | I would say EQ your lows and highs i cant listen to it now as im at work but to balance it out play with your eq's low to high frequencies i usually use a parametric equalizer. or adjust through your DAW's mixer or you could do both |
Dannie Dimora 19.06.2013 | You're hitting the volume limit there.. try bringing everything down and then turning up just the aah.. |
