Find "Beat Repeat" in the effects
beat rep.JPG

Drag it onto the audio channel or master channel
drag.JPG

Go to the top right corner and click the "midi" button
midi.JPG

Everything will glow blue! Now, click "interval" in the audio effect and press the button on your controller you want it mapped too
interval.JPG

On the left of your screen, you can pick how fast or slow you want the effect to be on the button my changing the minimum or maximum
done.JPG

Now click the "midi" button in the top right corner again and you're done

You can change the length or speed of the repeat by mapping the "interval" part of the effect.
You can also play with the grid to make it sound how you like

thanks for the answer.
