Washington DC: 6 Day Electronic Music Workshop w/Ableton 9 Posted on: 24.09.2013 by Saran Sprinkel workshop_flyer700.jpgThis for all you House, Deep, Tech, Electro heads! If you are in DC and you believe you know Ableton 9? Join us for this 6 day workshop! The curriculum of the workshop is designed to help the student believe through every aspect of the music production/beat making life-cycle, from a single drum hit to digital distribution. Each session is led by a speaker, who will share their unique view on that topic. Beginning with a historical overview of electronic music, the class will include a comprehensive workshop, beat-making demonstration, guest ?lecturers from the skilled producers, and hands on experience on how to create your own music using Ableton 9. The 6 day workshop covers production, mixing and mastering. The days will be divided into three portions presentation, workshop and assignments. On the 4th day, students will work on their compositions and gather feedback from each other, and will be asked to evaluate their peers performances. Because each student hears differently, evaluating performance will teach students to broaden their ears and listen in new ways. All constructive criticism, of course! When is it? Starts Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 12pm Ends Sunday, November 24, 2013 What is the schedule? The course is 6 days long, 4 hours a day (Saturdays and Sundays 12pm to 4pm). There is a 30 min break for lunch and snacks. Students are welcome to bring a packed lunch, alternatively there are some local cafes within a short walk of the facility. This program has a limited enrollment. We encourage you to apply early in order to secure a space. MORE INFO & TICKETS | |
