Serato Itch 2.0 Announced
Serato Itch 2.0 Announced Posted on: 05.04.2011 by Julissa Serrone http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tdlgcc4A2JcSampler looks great and so does the new GUI and file management --- but I thought they were going to do more with this long awaited release. TSP2 could use some similar file management. | |

I personally believe it would be nice to have just one option, at least one. You could simply cut the current decks in half, leave the outer half for deck info, and the inner half (where you have the on-screen mixer) have a centralized waveforms. For S4 users it would be great! have each waveform labeled according to the S4 channel layout... I Can definitely see the functionality of Itch 2.0 though. She ain't a beauty, but im sure she'll get the job done. Those horizontal waveforms are huge... and well spaced. I like! |

The stacked waves is something folks enjoy and the gridding and warpable grids feature is better than Traktors. I believe it's a great product but wish they would at lease allow for secondary controller midi mapping. What kills Itch is the time it's taken to get to 2.0 and it didn't provide any of the big guns folks were waiting or "Bridge and Video" I'm still a fan. |

I believe this is a big step forward. Looks like the browser will make Traktors browser features look lacking. I just wish they would make it mappable for any controller, or am i wrong. If i could have a go with the S4 and Itch i would. |

I wish i could enable that in trackor that way I know the perfect ponit to cue a track in based on when a track ends and another builds up. |
Miloje Savic 07.04.2011 | Itch 2.0 looks great.. a lot like SSL which I have been waiting for in order to jump into itch.. played for a while with the ns7 n fell in love with the precision of the platters.. I bet video sl and the bridge are coming to itch... once that happens... damn... I don't know where peeps are trying to compare itch to traktor.. in no way is it the same... I played with traktor scratch traktor studio and pro and now t2 an it does not look like or compare.. haha haters.. jk ... but it is looking great.. I'm gonna wait for a while... n see what vestax might have coming up.. maybe a vci-400... or 350.. with sampler and fx in one unit.. n more cue points... till now twitch got my attention cuz u can play with traktor as well... nice unit.. to mess around with the sampler ableton style... hehe.. |

Janett Dal 06.04.2011 | SSL and Itch will not combine. They are two separate software products. Unless the relationship with Rane is amended somehow, I would forget that sentiment. Those that say it looks cheap or like crap - well, this is in the eye of the beholder. I've used TSP for years and now that I've switched over to Itch since October, I'm easily in the camp that enjoys its simple layout. This is good on the eyes when actually DJing. Easy to find what you are looking for. Copying TSP? More like copying SSL which has had its features baked in long before TSP ever did with 2.0, I like coming to this community - but it gets tiring since it reads so heavily on the Traktor tip. I like Traktor for what it was (and has with its Sampler), but Itch 2.0 is (going to be) great. I use 1.7.1 without fail and enjoy it immensely for what it does. And what it does, it does extremely well. For those of us invested in that platform (now, for me), I'm extremely pleased with this announcement. Great stuff. |

Cristian Carmona 06.04.2011 | ill stay away from this thread...dont bite jesse! wait did my anti-trolling meds today? IDK? |
Teodora Hancharik 06.04.2011 | shits weak IMO |
nayit ruiz jaramillo 06.04.2011 | Browser features, Smart Playlists. Various performance layouts. Ok yeah, copied some stuff from Traktor possibly. I Like it. |
Chas Giraldez 06.04.2011 | Looks kind of lame in comparison to tsp2 |
Deejay Atish 06.04.2011 | Once Serato get their act together with ITCH and add video plug-in and bridge support, controllers are going to get crazy... Also agree that SL and ITCH will become one or should. |
Adrien Hochstrasser 06.04.2011 | This is truly awesome, I love how it's going more to an SSL look and feel. I wonder if I'll be able to use my LPD8 for the sampler? 3RD QUARTER?!!?? What the hell Serato, I remember an April release date. Can I at least get a beta this month? |
Matha Obray 06.04.2011 | Looks alot like traktor but i like the sample deck level meters. Still the GUI looks so cheap. |
Lula Falconburg 06.04.2011 | Hello, I'm Mitch, a product specialist for Novation. I jus wanna let y'all bitches know erryone's gonna switch to Itch for Twitch while I get rich on that niche in a pinch jus' watchin' Richie Rich. And stop talking shit about my hand... |
Anabel Fogleman 06.04.2011 | I like the look of the new Itch, but i believe like most if they leave it too long people will jump ship. I say strike while the iron is hot!! :E Also agree on the point that SSL & Itch are merging, which is nice in one way. But doesn't bring anything new to the table. I'd still love Itch & my DX.......even if if i have to become a secret Traktor fan!! lol Cheers Lee |
Candace Carmouche 06.04.2011 | regardless, q3 is vaporware |

Carlee Pickard 06.04.2011 | Is it just me or does serato seem to wait for traktor to release shit, then they copy the shit traktor released and put it in serato? I know that's the way the world works, and I understand that all companies do it. It just drives me insane. I'm no NI fan boy, but seriously... wait wait, yes I am an NI fan boy I guess. |

Melia Balvaneda 06.04.2011 | loookkkin a lot like the new traktor...... hm. |
Cristian Carmona 06.04.2011 | i for see itch and SSL becoming one program. thats why serato asked in its last survey if djs wanted to see sync feat added to SSL |
Ashley Bernhoft 06.04.2011 | did she say "commin in quarter 3 2011"? |
Lula Falconburg 05.04.2011 | Playlist-upload feature is dope! The new layout looks like shit. |
Dana Ordinario 05.04.2011 | I love the smart crates I wish they would add that to Traktor overall looks like a good update for Itch but I still like the flex-ability I get from Traktor with my choice of controllers. I believe you can actually get a form of smart crates with Traktor+iTunes if you just use AutoPlaylists and import those that would make them "Smart Crates". |
Gilma Marchini 05.04.2011 | Hrm... It's looking like a serious competition to me. |
