Hi everybody,

I tried last evening to upgrade my VCI-100, I did it like Ean on his video, but it didn't succed, the message 'ERROR: BOOT' and then something else i can't remember. My question is: CAN ANY BODY PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS??? :O
Does the cable hareness that ean says to temporarly remove has to be reconnected while Firmware writing?

PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS GUYS, I'M ISOLATED HERE IN MY LITTLE LUXEMBOURG !!!

to determine the firmware. if you correctly installed 1.3 then you should be able to boot into 1.2

I followed your instructions exactly installing the 1.3 firmware and it works perfect. I should be able to boot in 1.2 and it's easy to tell the unit is still in 1.3, all of your SE fader, button and knob features work (example: holding Deck C button and pulling down the right fader turns down Deck C Level)

1.3 works fine, but I have tried every combination of button hold and turning on the unit. I can not get it out of 1.3. Please help.

Thanks,
Ean

make sure the first button works - if it does continue on:

with the unit off:
hold down the first button- and turn the power on

once all the lights are on release the button.

you must do this every time you power down the unit.

hope that helps!

Hey dude,

Can you confirm that while in 1,3 the loop A button sends midi as expected.

The only reason your unit would not go into 1.2 if you have the SE firmware programmed is if this button was some how broken.

Otherwise you are just not following the instructions correctly

If your not already doing this make sure you hold Loop A untill the VCI is recognised by the computer, and that you are holding the button down when you switch the VCI on.

Good luck.

Hello,

I bought a VCI-100 about 6 weeks ago, it was the 1.2 firmware version. I just purchased the VCI-100 SE overlay and the firmware update kit. The update went fine, but when I try to reboot in the 1.2 firmware it does not work. I have tried buy holding down the first loop button and turning on the unit and also buy holding down each one of the other buttons. I can not get it back to the 1.2 firmware. I just bought Traktor Pro and only have the 1.3 firmware control options. I am not very happy with my results. Do you guys have any answers for my problems.

Thanks,

this might sound a bit stupid but do you have the drivers for your serial to usb? I couldnt figure out what the boot error was on mine either untill I realized I lost the driver disk.

Hi DjBroka,

The cable which you move to fit the upgrade kit should stay removed untill the firmware update is completed.

Read all the posts in the support section and you should be fine.

PM me if this does not help you.

Please read all the posts in the firmware support section. Almost every concievable problem has been covered there but you really must read the posts. They are all very helpful.

I believe you have to change the COMM settings being that usb sends the data faster
