Loops on tsi 1.6
Loops on tsi 1.6 Posted on: 26.02.2009 by Deann Brabander I've been messing around with traktor pro and tsi 1.6 on the vci100se..today but i cant seem to figure out how to change the loop lengths... everything works perfectly so far, but when i click loop it goes to 4 beat loops. I want to figure out how to get down to 1 or even a half when i click loops. | |

I didn't check anything from tpro for that explanation so it's just the principle how it should work. If the mapping can't be done in tpro, NI really has a lot of work ahead. But I trust Zac Kyoti when he says the modifiers are capable of this. |

Doug Bieling 02.03.2009 | Sorry to dig this one back up but i am confused and don't understand why this can't be done. If you were pressing a loop selection button on the screen with a mouse it would activate the loop length that is highlighted. So why is it different when you do it on your controller. ie ... you use loop lengthen / shorten to highlight the required loop length then use the loop on off button, but this makes it jump to 4 beat loop? Hope this makes sense. Gav |
Deann Brabander 28.02.2009 | ok, ill try it out thanks! |

Deann Brabander 27.02.2009 | Great idea. I'm not sure what the rest of ur answer means but is there a way to set let's say the loop button to loop in and out?? |
Reece Murray 27.02.2009 | An easy way to set any custom loop length from the VCI-100 is to program buttons to set a loop in and out point, for the focused deck. If you don't know what this means, the manual is a good place to start. I like this method, because it frees you up to loop whatever tiny bit, long bit, fits the moment. Two buttons for all loops. Hell, it can be done on one button with a modifier! |
Deann Brabander 26.02.2009 | Ill rephrase that. when using traktor you have the loop option of setting the length to 1/32, 1/16, 1/4, 1/2, 1, etc. Is there a way I can click the loop length on traktor so it will work when i use the loop function on the VCI? Hope thats better. |

Julianna Riecken 26.02.2009 | My issue is no longer applicable it was just me being thick! Apologies |

Deann Brabander 27.02.2009 | My loops lengthing works, my question is how do i get to choose what loop length comes up with i press the loop button I try selecting different loop lengths on the software for example, if i have a 1beat loop set up on my software and i press loop on the vci it goes back to 4 beat.. I know i can shorten it, but i want to know if there is a way to set a preset or soemthing so when i press loop it goes to whatever i want it too not just 4 beats |
Claud Balkum 26.02.2009 | I have 1.2 and everything work except freeze. |

Julianna Riecken 26.02.2009 | I just cant shorten or lengthen the loops, that seems to be my only issue with the TSI. Oh and when I import the file it only lets me select Midi Mapping nothing else is selectable :S |

Julianna Riecken 26.02.2009 | Ive got the same problem |
Sasha Alexander 26.02.2009 | Could you maybe stop opening up a new thread for every problem that comes your way. It's just barely possible to track for anyone the state of things at your side. Also, spend a little more time with your VCI + TPro instead of posting like a madman. This might help too. |
