buying vci 100 se
buying vci 100 se Posted on: 28.05.2009 by Marco Piangiamore hey guysim currently flirting with the idea of selling some old gear and getting a vci 100, preferably the DJTT se edition. now, do i have to buy an se, or will a regular vci 100 with the firmware upgrade and overlay be 'the same'? also, if you see a black vci anywhere, can you presume its a se with the new firmware etc of are tthere black, non se versions!? this one, for example http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VESTAX-VCI-100-LE-USB-DJ-CONTROLLER-BLACK_W0QQitemZ160332296654QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_D efaultDomain_3?hash=item25548cb1ce&_trksid=p3286.c 0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1688|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|24 0%3A1318|301%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A50 cheers | |

Lilliana Perris 18.06.2009 | Perfect! Liked the Green anyways! |
robin loo 18.06.2009 | correct, since the silver colors are orange/green |
Lilliana Perris 18.06.2009 | So if you have the normal silver one, upgrade to FM 1.3 and have the Black Overlay.....you then have a VCI-100SE without the Blue and White LED's. Correct? |
robin loo 17.06.2009 | just had this problem solved with phil from the shop via email: * white/blue the first 100 VCI-100SE controllers * blue/green the current SE controllers *orange/green the silver models colors. |

Wilton Schelter 17.06.2009 | Got my black VCI-100 from HTFR, 99% sure its FW 1.2. Ordered an SE overlay, believeing about getting the FW upgrade kit in the future too. Way cheaper than buying a SE straight out. |
Xavier Emanuels 08.06.2009 | These black VCI-100's that you see elsewhere 9 times out of 10 have orange and green leds and not blue and white leds. |
WrthKDs . 28.05.2009 | If you get a regular *black* one and put the firmware update and overlay on, you should have the same (the silver one has different knobs/caps). If you see a black one somewhere else, it's most likely *not* the one with new FW1.3. Also the one HTFR sells there is very very likely a standard black one with FW1.2. You can tell them apart also by the missing DJTT logo and the golden print for the extended functions on the faceplate. |
