Question about the VCI-100 SE
Posted on: 09.07.2009 by Annice Christopher
Sorry guys if this is covered elsewhere, but I have looked and can't find anything, maybe it's so obvious no-one has bothered mentioning it...

From looking at the videos etc. it looks like the VCI-100 SE uses the fader knobs for stuff other than actually fading the tracks. So, do you have to use an external mixer, or can you use the VCI-100 SE as part of a simple [laptop - VCI-100 - soundcard] setup?

Thats only when it is in that special mode.

By default, it is setup traditionally. Volume Faders.....Cross Fader.....EQ's.

Once you have it all setup and the Firmware updated and are using Ean's TSI file, you could enable this setup you mention.

But yeah....its advanced.

You will be able to use the VCI as is with a lappy and Soundcard.
Even just like that....stock standard, its killer!
Once you are comfortable with it.....start looking into Ean's mods and mapping.

I have been at it for about a little more than a month or 2.
Have learnt a shit load....just from trawling through the threads.
