Trackpad effects control

First off, I know this post is in the wrong community , but i was having trouble finding correct one (something about the site moving). I'm very new to traktor pro, just trying to watch and read as much as I can, so if this is a dumb question feel free to let me know. What i want to know is, if i can use my trackpad on my macbook to control effects, much in the way the pad on the korg nano pad can. I figure if i have a mouse pluged in, that leaves a perfectly useful multitouch pad free to use? any idea?
