Left Deck Play Button Doesn't Light Blue
Posted on: 22.08.2009 by Talisha Wilmarth
As the tittle says my left deck play button doesn't light in blue, as it should according to the right play button that does light blue after I press it. If anyone has had this problem and manage to solve it please let me know.. Thanks..
PS: I attached two pictures showing the problem

I'm experiencing the exact same problem. same exact button. same blue LED. I did the Filter On Led output experiment and still got no blue LED. The other side functions normally.

VCI-100se, TPRO 1.1, FW 1.3

Correction: The button in question on my unit is the Deck C (copy to c) button.

Hey there, it looks like the blue LED on your vci-100 is indeed not functioning. Please send us an email to orders@djranking s.com and we can sort it out for you.

Well I just did what you told me and in fact the led isn't working.... What can I do about it? Should I wait some time to see if someday it will decide to turn on ? By the way i've been using this unit for a week so it's new..... Thanks again

Heres a mapping i made just to show you a basic one.It toggles the filter on and off, but as you see it has 2 mappings (the highlighted ones). The output setting is for the led, and i have it set to turn blue when the filters on.Changing the led options gives different effects. look at the pic below

I just discover how to activate or deactivate led's so now I just need to know if I really can change that led that is off.... Or how can I really know that it's not working and if it's down how can I change it?? Thanks a lot....

I didn't remap my unit but in case there is problem with it how can I set those midi outputs that you said and even select the colour?

Just making sure here, you didnt remap the button did you?.Because if you changed what the button does your also gonna have to set an output in the mappings so the led works.meaning for eg you have 2 mappings one that assigns the control to the button. One that says the led goes on when you do it, an colour.

If thats what you done, you need to learn the basics of midi mapping.Just save your default tks incase you mess it up, then play around with what you can do.Its pretty easy, the advanced stuff like Ian does will take time.

Its either gonna be a slight midi issue or the led is faulty.I believe those buttons use a rgb led (red green blue) the blue maybe faulty, correct me if im wrong. As i understand it the midi messages tell the vci to light up the buttons inaccordance with your pushing them, turning off midi turns them all off but buttons still work.So replacing the button is your best bet, Ians arcade mod video will help you there.

Picture probably isnt the type of led used just a good visual of what they do
