RS232 to TTL adapter for flashing?

Hello guys, just looked at the connections and it seems that the VCI uses the TTL type of communication for firmware upgrades... ex:

http://www.nkcelectronics.com/rs232-...33v232335.html

Would a simple RS232 (COM-Port) to TTL adaptor be enough to flash the VCI-100 (of course, making a custom and fitting connection to the VCI itself with 6 pins), or is it not TTL?

EDIT: Yes it will translate the signals correctly but as Ean mentions in the bottom of the thread, unlike the DJTT Firmware Kit , this is only half baked. Constructing and soldering a fitting connection (and not screwiing the pinout) for the VCI is required for it to work!

the product above must be modified and re-wired to work with VCi-100 but does provide the same essential purpose.
Yepp, it is certainly not complete and I have edited the first post to reflect this
