led problem
led problem Posted on: 29.11.2009 by Penni Rigor Hello all - I have a black VCI-100 with 1.3FW that I've recently modded with the DJTT arcade kit. Everything seems to be working great, except for a few of the button's leds. I've recently noticed that the "juggle on" button and both "headphone" buttons are very dim when selected. All three are blue leds(if that matters). Also, the "loop 8" button on the right side lights up when the "scratch" button is selected. Also, when I select the "juggle on" button, the FX bank button lights up brighter. I'm pretty handy with a solder iron, so I don't feel I messed up the arcade install, but obviously something is off. I can't say for sure if they worked before, as I haven't used it that much. I'm currently using TPro 1.1 and Ean's 2.4 .tsi. I am hoping someone can help me figure out how to remedy this as I don't even know where to start. Is it in the FW upgrade? Is it in the wiring? I don't believe it's the TSI, as the buttons don't light even when not using Traktor Pro. I plugged it into both my Mac and PC via USB and got the same result. I'm stumped. The functions still work, they just don't light up.Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks. | |

Random X 09.12.2009 | Nice 1 bro'! |
Penni Rigor 09.12.2009 | Yes! FIXED IT!!!! Opened it up and, after tracing every wire, found the problem to my intermittent led problem. When re-assembling the vci, I accidentally let one wire get pinched in between the level fader and chasis. It's a bit squished, but after moving it, all led's are working perfect again! |
