Onboard sound - VCI doesn't want to know Traktor
Posted on: 08.12.2009 by Crystle Raffelson
Hi all. Had a bloody evening mare with this toevening . Just got a VCI and seem to have an issue with my onboard sound. I am ordering the audio 2 soundcard over the next few days, but for the next week or so i'd still like to use the VCI and get some practice in. I have the 1.3 firmware and Traktor Pro 1.2.1 installed. I've imported the 2.5 tsi mapping off here. Did all this exactly the same on my laptop and that was fine, but the PC doesn't want to know so i'm putting it down to the onboard sound. I've played with all the settings and still no luck. MIDI light just doesnt light up when i do anything on the VCI. It's Realtec HD Audio. Tried updating the driver through device manager and no change. Please help!

Do you have a creative webcam installed ? If so then remove all the software and drivers that came with it.

In your email, you told me it worked fine with your friends computer, correct?

Could you email me your computers specs so we can find the problem together?

Hey Kemixx.

I'm so sorry it took so long for a reply.

You made a good choice in my opinion with the Audio4Dj.

Been using it myself for several months.

Once you receive it, I'd be happy to walk you through anything you need.

Feel free to email me direct at orders@djranking s.com

Gratitude.

Tried a PC sound card and still no luck :X it's a shite card but i figured it should still work? I'm getting sound from it but traktor still isn't taking anything from the VCI.

I've taken some screenshots (attached)
