100se pitchfader trouble ?! i need help ! Posted on: 30.01.2010 by Christeen Wojack hey guys first sorry 4 bad english second .. the last 2 days wehere pure horror .. thursday evening i'm playing around with traktor and my vci 100se everything is fine .. .. next day i started traktor and than it happens my pitchfader are only haveing 50% of the normal range in traktor .. so if i center the vci faders the traktor faders are also centered but wehn ich move the vci fader to max to the top or to the ground the traktor fader are only the half way down/way up.. is exactly 50% of the normal pitchfader range so i tryed to fix this in the transport conf from traktor .. nothing happend so i decidet do map the fader by my self ... still same problem .. sooo i uninstalled trakor erased all data in the registry and all the left config files from traktor ..done a new instal .. importet the 2_5 tsi file form dj tech tools ... ... 0_o .. SAME PROBLEM .... so i thougt ... do it right ... i erase my complete hdd .. cause i hat a fullbackup .. yea the backup was corrupt dont asky why but it didnt work ... SO .. now my system is ready again .. komplete new windows install everything new ... i installed trakor 1.2.1 ... importet the 2_5 tsi file .. i was so lucky cause ich was soo shure that the damn error dont wont be there .. but .. ... the fuuu error happens again .. .. than i tryed my laptop ... SAME ERROR ..so my conclusion is .. the error is not software based ... it is my 3 weeks old vci 100 se .. does any body know a solution ? | |

| 03.02.2010 | if you are using traktor 1.23 or above you can set the range manually in the software without changing the mapping. Leave the mapping to 100% and the change the pitch range to suit your needs |
| Christeen Wojack 02.02.2010 | ..eh ... .. just had the posibillity to test the vci with maudi torq .. ... the damn faders ar workind flawless ... so what is happinging here ? 2 diferent full indipendent pc systems having the same problems wit out any knowen reason ... |
| Christeen Wojack 31.01.2010 | found a way to geht them to work not like before but the work but to adjust the pitch isnt possible cause the fader senes is much to high it does .16 steps .. the only 2 ways i found to get the fader use the 100% of the range was to turn the rotary sensitivity up to 100% or to set the fade to the direct interaction mode ..both way are crap cause by much to high sens so i figured out that the rotary sensitivitiy is eqal to the way that the fader moves in traktor ... if i set the sens to 50% and move the vci fader vom the middle to the top the fade in traktor stops at exact 50% of the way up ... so if i turn the rotary sens to 100% i can move the fader complete from bottom to top ..but then the steps are to big its just to inaccurat 0.16 steps are way to big if i the fader to direkt ..same behavior please help ..im goin nuts |
| Christeen Wojack 30.01.2010 | .. ok .. ive cheked the output midi signals .. there are fine 1 to 127 :/ the vci data is ok the faders are sending the needet signals .... why do i geht thos probs ? .... on 2 completet different pc's one with win7 and one with xp .. i tried it on a laptop and on my tower with diferent cables but the problem is the same |
| robin loo 30.01.2010 | get a midi monitor program and look if the pitch fader is sending out right information.. |
