Need help to use the pitch on VCI100
Posted on: 10.03.2010 by Chante Kalsi
Hi everybody,
i use my VCI100 each week at parties but i have a little problem with it (everyone has the same).

My example :
a 100bpm track on side A
a 110bpm track on side B
you would like to synchronise your track B, so you put the sync button on and it's ready.... BUT NOW you would like to move the pitch and BINGO the tempo speed away...

I know this is a problem of USB and 0&1 but maybe do you have a trick which could help me !!!!

Thanks for your help

Indeed. and if you have the pitch sliders set to 'soft taker over' they won't 'jump' even if you've used sync.

As i use the Sync, I would like to move too the pitch but the BPM jumps up or down to high values....and i would like to use it as a CDJ or a SL1200
exactly the same problem.. no idea how to fix this.
if i sync 2 tracks and move the pitchfader it jumps to the highest tempo available..

shift/pitch slider resets the track back to its original tempo.doesn't take care of the pitch jump unfortunately............i've been believeing about this.i'm gonna play around with opening deck c,lowering the fader, then copying and resetting tempo.i know its not intuative and wouldn't work the way i've explained it due to the pitch slider not being fine enough to match it but this is the route im gonna take to try and find a work-around.anyone solves it let us know

I have also found that soft take over doesn't always work with some commands, such as master volume! So test out first to be sure

'soft takeover' jumps on first use in Traktor. This is a bug....

When I open my traktor, I fiddle with all my soft-takeover controls once to break them in. After the first use they behave normally & u can start rockin

I can't believe of the number of openers I f*cked up b/c of this, till I figured out how to 'burn in' the controls

use the pitchfader and set it to the other decks bpm.
don't use sync.
or otherwise your hardware-fader and your software-fader don't match.

Not sure if this answers your question, but the new VCI 100 SE mapping has a shift tempo shift function which moves your pitch fader automatically. See Ean's video for demo.
