Is this a real support thread??? Posted on: 23.02.2010 by Marguerite Faix HelloI am writing this post because I dont actually know if this section of the community is really meant to be for "support" I posted a valid question about the problems I am having with my vci 100 and not one reaply, not even from a member of DJranking s. I absolutely love your site and even purchased my vci 100 from you specifically because of the tutorials and support etc. Now my mixer is having problems i don't seem to be able to get this support that i thought I would get. If it is possible would someone please give me some advice on what i can do with the following problem?? I would be ultimately appreciated thankyou "Im not sure what has quite happened but for some reason my vestax vci 100 se is causing me some "set threatening" issues Basically, everything works fine apart from my faders. i noticed at the last party i played at that my left volume fader would annoyingly move up and down slightly when bash the volume up. The right volume fader also has a similar problem: when i pull it down its fine but as soon as it reaches the very bottom it shoots right back up on traktor which obviously is a horrible thing to happen whilst mid set! I am also having slight issues with the crossfader when i fade it to the left. If i push it quickly over to the left it will go there and repeat to move back and forth only very slightly but will not stay dead on the left side the actually physical feeling of the two volume faders have changed too, the left one seems to be the same smooth, consistancy as before but has a slight glitch towards the bottom, but the right one feels too smooth, almost slack and at the very bottom seems to hit something causing a sound. Im very worried about this as i payed a lot of money for it and it is my pride and oy, are these things repairable? would you recommend i take the cover off and have a look for myself? I really need this to be fixed by next weekend as i have another gig lined up please help! thanks sam I will try to post a video link of the problem if you have trouble understnading what i mean" | |

Whenever I load a new song sometimes when I press play on the deck that is cued, the volume goes to full blast. It happend twice on the master track also and then I either have to click on the computer volume level to bring it down or move the volume fader on my VCI several times before it actually detects the motions. Is this a common problem or is my unit maybe defective?? |
Khalilah Srp 24.02.2010 | Return Policy If anything under $200 breaks we will just send you a new one. If a controller shows up doa or broken, we send a new one out immediately If you break a controller, then you can take it to a local Vestax repair facility in your country or send it to the US for repair. If a controller is defective within 1 year, then you send us your controller and we will send out a new one at the same time. |
Hanna Zitzmann 24.02.2010 | this is a support community , but you can't expect anybody to know your answer. If somebody knows your problem and how to fix it, they will reply. If you want a more prompt response, just email support. |
Vernon Vanderberg 24.02.2010 | I also fixed a similar issue with my faders. there just dusty my friend...easy fix the community search is also a good place to find archived support. this issue has been discussed before |
Karl Forde 24.02.2010 | Hi DJMastek, I was beginning to feel the same as you - This isn't a support community . I posted a similar problem I was having about strange MIDI output from my VCI-100 jog wheels without any support related feedback. I took it upon myself to contact the DJTT team directly and received a reply from Bento and Zach. In answer to your problem, as weltraumpapst said, try spraying the faders with contact switch cleaner fluid and waggling them back and forth to create better connections or if you're brave enough, take the unit apart and see if you can see why they aren't working as expected - Perhaps the faders have become a little loose? |
robin loo 24.02.2010 | i had a similar problem.. i just cleaned my left fader with isopropanol and it worked afterwards.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oFb1J-B08Ns |
Marguerite Faix 23.02.2010 | ive downloaded a midi moniter, dont understand it too much but i can definatly see a problem. if i put a small amount of presseure on the left fader, in terms of that when it is at its highest point and i push my finger in the up direction it sends very irratic signals. The same goes for the right, but when i move it towards the bottom and just leave it around that region therre are some signals being sent when obviously they shoudnt. As i got this from djranking s how can i go about getting this fixed? I am based in the UK and obviously sending to USA is going to cost a lot of money and time, and being a student, money is tight hehe |
robin loo 23.02.2010 | get a midi monitor program and look if the faders/crossfader send out weird messages.. |
