Treasa Maffucci 17.05.2010 | i dont use the djtt mapping personally, but have loaded it up to play around a few times. ive found that the slice works well with some genres/bpms and sounds like a mess with others. it definitely works well with glitch/dub/grime and not so well with house or hip hop, in my opinion. also the timing of turning the effect on (touching the platter) has alot to do with the quality of the slice. |
Corine Kasman 16.05.2010 | @fusion Think we hijacked this thread... I know the guy who started it (good dude) and we'll let it go on. May I suggest that you start a new thread and I will jump in with my opinion. Phil. |
Marcene Erkenbrack 16.05.2010 | Hey, Yesterday i uploaded mapping which puts the sweeping effect on the 2nd button from the left, and shifted the echo to the 3rd (removing cup).. I believe i may actually change it so the slice is simply swapped for the sweeping effect, HOWEVER, you lose the function of the 'sampler' feature on the top right of the vci... Which would you prefer? I believe removing cup was a bad idea... fusion. |

Corine Kasman 16.05.2010 | I too am not a big fan of the Slice effect. The only real use I have for it is in short (2 beats to a bar maximum) bursts to add a little distraction to a build up. I'm believeing of doing the whooshing effect change in the TSI being discussed in the other community (armyofme's tutorial). Phil. |
