Sound Issues and Jog Wheel Malfunctions
Sound Issues and Jog Wheel Malfunctions Posted on: 21.05.2010 by Refugio Debruine Hello, I have read through a whole load of other threads, some have helped me solve some problems, others still persist. When using the Fader Fx and the jog wheel, with the jog wheel NOT set on scratch mode, at times the track I am playing and which is being manipulated by the Fader Fx function, will speed up to maximum possible bpm or stop all together. When I stop manipulating the track with the Fader Fx function, the track remains stopped or in double time, until I tap the platter then it resets back to the original tempo. Any suggestions are welcome! Refugio Debruine 15.06.2010 | The controller is fine after testing it on another machine, the problem appears to be that I only have 2 gigs of ram and am not able to upgrade. So I went out and bought a new macbook pro, motu ultralite card and so far so good. |
Corine Kasman 31.05.2010 | Sorry it didn't work. Your idea is great to try it on another computer. Let us know how things develop. Phil. |
Refugio Debruine 31.05.2010 | Thanks for the suggestion Phil. I tried what you said and no good. I will try reinstalling the firmware update, also I have a friend with the exact same controllers and I will test mine on his laptop and his on my laptop and see what happens. |
Corine Kasman 26.05.2010 | This is REALLY weird! After you load the TSI, set your in and out ports (you did set the ports right?), then quit Traktor. Start Traktor again and move the faders to "find" them, once you see that Traktor is responding to the VCI, quit Traktor a second time. Start Traktor for the 3rd time and again "find" the faders. Now load a couple of tracks and give it a try. The reason to quit and start is that the mapping is big and fairly complex, Traktor seems to take a couple of loadings to be able to absorb it all. Let us know if this is any help. Phil. |
Ralph Spong 26.05.2010 | This is the first time that I'm coming across such a thing. I'll get it checked with a friend of mine, who has the same one. As of now what I believe is that it might be due to some settings that you might be missing out on. |
Refugio Debruine 21.05.2010 | ...and the deck was actually stuck like that, I could not get the track to stop play, and could not load another track. I had to turn Traktor off while the track was still playing. The next attempt to play music ended in a total freeze of Traktor, audio making the solid nasty noise of death. I could not even shut Traktor down in the task manager, I had to hard stop windows to get out of it. This is with a new and fresh bare install of Windows Pro, only other software is norton ghost, Traktor 3 and webroot anti-virus. This is the least stable of all the 2.whatever and 3.whatever installs I have ever done of Traktor. Fek. The really sad thing is is that until it crashes I am having a blast. |
Refugio Debruine 21.05.2010 | I have also just now noticed that when I hit the play button while a trick is playing in Deck B (the track is also in an 8 beat loop), it doubles the tempo, then when I hit it again, it goes back to the original tempo. I have watched all the videos, etc... can't recall this being a feature and I can't repeat it on any other deck. |
