Library browsing: Why so slow?
Posted on: 17.06.2010 by Eden Sechelski
I just got my VCI-100SE, and the method of library searching where you hold down the up or down arrow is painfully slow. Right now I'm using my laptop's touch pad to browse my library. Is there a faster way to do this on the VCI? For example, is there a way to use the jog wheel or some other knob to quickly scroll through the library? Thanks

A system of playlists that organizes stuff a little better might help speed up the process.

Yes, I have the DJTT mapping. However, I would like to be able to find my songs without having to touch my laptop every time.

Are you using the DJTT mapping? If so and you know what song you are looking for, just type after pressing LIST up or down (the cursor jumps to the find window). Else, I suggest you organize your music into creates to ease finding in long lists.

Let us know if this helps.

Phil.
