serious problems with vci100 fw1.2 and 3.5tsi Posted on: 23.06.2010 by Kelsey Maylone First of all i have the traktor pro 1.2.6 and vci100 with 1.2 firmware and the last mapping loaded.I have some issues.Sometimes stuck the echo juggle1-4 and 5-8 and fx button without doing something special.Then the most times i have to restart the vci but sometimes i have to restart the whole traktor. Some other it stuck only the echo button and while i'm pressing this nothing else works. What about these problems?Is this about the 1.2 firmware or i make something wrong? Thanks in advance | |

| Meg Reinoehl 25.06.2010 | If you're on Vista/7, do this: 1. Open your Start menu and do a search for Power Options and open it. 2. Choose the High Performance Plan and then "Change Plan Settings". 3. Click on Change Advanced Power Settings. 4. Expand USB Settings. 5. Expand USB Selective Suspend Setting. 6. Set it to Disabled. When you turn off the USB Root Hub power management, those settings should stick now. |
| Kelsey Maylone 25.06.2010 | No its connected to the the laptop.Today i tried the path device manager ---> Universal Serial Bus Controllers ---> Usb Root Hub ---> Properties ---> Power Managment ---> untick the (Allow the computer to turn-off this device to save power) and i mixed one hour set without any problems.I still don't know how to do this permanent because when i restarted the system get back to default and these choices were ticked again! Could be this cause the problem?It suppsed that this stop the power distribution το devices for power saving when it's not used for long time.Isn't it? |
| Meg Reinoehl 24.06.2010 | Is the VCI on a USB hub? Have you tried connecting it to different USB ports? I know you're believeing it's a problem with the cable, have you tried a different one? Any luck with a repro? |

| Corine Kasman 23.06.2010 | Without a doubt, upgrading the firmware is worth it. This will unlock the fourth FX knob and add a few nice features. What computer are you using (OS and version)? If you are on a PC you should be using the "Glitch Fix" mapping, as PCs seem to not like multiple rushes of midi data. This could be affecting you too. Even if you are on a Mac, some have found that TSI to be smoother (I use the regular one). Phil. |
| Kelsey Maylone 23.06.2010 | No they are fine like you said in advanced mode.Sometimes everything works fine but something stuck the system and this is sure from the vci.I believe that the problem is somewhere between juggle and echo which i use more.You believe that it could be the firmware?Should i upgrade?
