Is there a VCI 100 SE based on a silver version
Posted on: 19.07.2010 by Chante Kalsi
Hello,
i'm looking to buy a VCI100 SE to a friend but it's based on a silver version.
When i take a look to Dj Techtools, i only see a black with black knobs version.

Do you have ever seen such one?
Thanks

To me that looks like a regular VCI-100 that someone added a DJTT overlay to. It may or may not have the 1.3 firmware upgrade. At best, its a VCI that someone upgraded from home, but probably not one that came upgraded from DJTT.

Sure, it's possible, but you wouldn't ever know this unless you took off the overlay since DJTT would put the black overlay on it. If you buy an SE from DJTT today, it will come with black knobs and faders also.

Hopefully I answered your question.

This is the answer from djranking s and i have my answer

"We only sell the black VCI100's. This person is probably trying pass off their silver VCI-100 as one of ours.

Regards,

Zach DeRossette (ZachDero)"

Thanks everyone for your help

That looks a lot like a silver with just an overlay on it. The knobs and jog covers are silver, you can see the silver through the overlay and the LED colours are per the silver. That is NOT a DJTT SE.

I don't mean to insult here, but how the F$%K is that silver?

Are you colorblind? It is black. It has silver jog wheels, sure.

BUT. It is black.

I believe there were some silver units used for Arcade mods at one point, maybe one or two went out as regular SE. To see if it is a genuine SE, there should be Ean's signature on the name plate. But all SE should have a black overlay (unless the owner changed or removed it).

Is it possible? Sure. Why not.

If they can program Traktor properly there is no reason why they could not have made a silver version of the SE.

The odds that they are that devoted and/or talented are low.

Is it possible the world will end in 2012? Sure.
Do any of us know?

Nope.

DJTT sells a blank silver overlay that does not have the SE mapping on it, or any mapping on it for that matter. Check it out here:

I can't answer this question, but I'm curious to know if this is the same VCI that keeps freezing on you? IF it is and IF DJTT never sold a silver SE model you may not be on the 1.3 firmware.

My friend told me that he bought it directly his VCI100SE to Dj Techtools in silver version...
Is there a member of djranking s who could answer me?
Thanks

There's a black model available (or was) in Japan. Other than color there is no difference in the actual unit. You can get a black overlay from DJTT here
http://ranking s.myshopify.com/produ...i-100-overlays

And black knobs here
http://ranking s.myshopify.com/produ...-sliders-black

And lots of other colors here

a vci100SE is nothing more than a normal black vci100 with firmware 1.3. and an overlay.
as far as i know, DJTT didn't sell SEs based on the silver version.
