Janel Hongsermeier 18.11.2010 | Good Afternoon to all, Is it possible for someone to describe or present the proper way, to install the Arcade buttons on VCI-100. I will appreciate your assistance. |
Hipolito Scionti 21.12.2010 | Go to 0.35secs into this video. It's the original ean golden mod video (now added to my blog) You can see that there are 4 wires to extend the original wires and then 4 wires from the ground with diodes attached. That's 16 in total. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptcA6...ayer_embedded#! |
Chantal Harabedian 19.12.2010 | I don't understand why i wrote in some places that we need 16 lead wires for the arcade mod, like in your website maxone. But we only need wires for the ground no? So 4x2? can you just have a look to my post just behind? I hope i'll receive my djtt pack soon |
Chantal Harabedian 15.12.2010 | Hi guys! I Found 1N4001 in my town. am i 100% sure it's ok? for the holes, the hole has to be 24mm diameter right? If i stick the overlay first, wouldn't it be the best way to be sure it's ok? Or maybe, can the autocad file here: http://www.djranking s.com/2009/07/2...iy-arcade-mod/ be usefull for me? maybe i could begin doing the holes before I receive the overlay (it has been send 9 days ago ) |
Hipolito Scionti 14.12.2010 | I've tried to consolidate everything you need to do for the arcade mod in one place. Hope this helps http://www.maxonemusic.com/diyarcademod |
Domenic Kappauf 08.12.2010 | Ahh...photojojo...that's two threads you're answering my questions on. If there were a rep system I'd show some love. Since there isn't you'll this will have to do ----> 1UP Thanks. |
Leeanna Ayla 08.12.2010 | Get a decent soldering iron and some extra tips and practice. Youtube is full of soldering instruction videos. One of the biggest tips I can give is to pre-solder your wires. Oh, and check this thread out. http://djranking s.com/community /showthread.php?t=21028 |
Domenic Kappauf 08.12.2010 | Just a quick question...if I were a total beginner at soldering would I be able to do this or is this meant for the super tech guru DJ/Electronic Engineer people? :P |
Leeanna Ayla 27.11.2010 | The hardest part is the soldering and if you practice that it should be no problem. |
Hipolito Scionti 27.11.2010 | I found it a bit of a mission but well worth it... I love my VCI 100 SE Arcade. The buttons are off the scale I filed down the holes myself too. The diodes was the only thing I found difficult to source but believe I was being a bit uptight about them. Really wasn't rocket science... I'd say just practise the soldering a couple of times on a spare bit of wire before you get stuck in. Check out pics here http://www.flickr.com/photos/maxonem...7624707150695/ |
Noelia Koga 26.11.2010 | If you have soldered before this is very easy. If you have never soldered electronics I would get some practice before. I filed it down myself, no CNC cutting or anything which took 2 hours. Then soldering took 10 minutes. Worked beautifully. |
Vanetta Foege 26.11.2010 | Is this the kind of job any joe blow can do with the aid of the videos? I've been trying on kijiji/ebay/craigslist to find a VCI-100SE Arcade edition controller but to no avail! I'm believeing that I may end up having to buy a SE off someone and then buy the parts to do the arcade part myself. Just wondering how difficult a task this really is. Also, if anyone could link me with potential sellers of a 100SE Arcade, that'd be greatly appreciated ! ~Todd |
Noelia Koga 18.11.2010 | I just did it myself if you have any further questions. |
Janel Hongsermeier 18.11.2010 | Excellent!Thank you very much. These Videos are very helpful. |
