The BIG Import Button

So I upgraded to Traktor 2.5 and trying to get my controllers working is a pain. I load the VCI mapping (it's for FW 1.4 and the tsi version I have is 3.6.4) using the big import button as usual, then do it a couple times again to be sure, but the effects are still all wrong when I go to use them. Delay comes on instead of beatmasher, etc. Same thing happens on my Midifighter classic! I keep importing with the big button but this doesn't change anything. And when the little window comes up on the import I don't even have the option of checking "Effects Settings" - it is greyed out. Anything I must be doing wrong? So far I am really not thrilled I upgraded to 2.5, heh...
