MF Noob; Input not indicated
MF Noob; Input not indicated Posted on: 07.05.2011 by Krystle Bratlie So my girlfriend got me an MF for my birthday (Apr 3) and I just got it in a couple of days ago, I was super excited only to find out that my computer recognizes it, the buttons respond but it won't show up on neither Ableton or Traktor (Ableton won't indicate an Input at all)After searching through the community s I found the firmware update (Which gave me problems at the bootloader part too; I fixed that an succesfully updated :eek But it still won't show on Ableton. I'm just an old fashioned DJ with two turntables and a mixer and have never used MIDI so theres probably something I'm doing wrong, but this is also why I joined the community s. Any help is useful! Thanks!! Also, I am using a Windows XP PC for the moment | |

| Krystle Bratlie 07.05.2011 | Thanks for the fast reply! Yeah I get the snakey thing every time I plug it. There is no response from Traktor or Ableton, and MF doesn't show up on their preferences/midisettings (Though the LEDs go off everytime I touch any of the buttons) I also dled MIDI-OX and it says no MIDI input detected The Midifighter shows up on Device Manager under Sound, video and game controllers as USB Audio Device and the Location says Location 0 (Midifighter) |
| Leeanna Ayla 07.05.2011 | Welcome to the community ! Do you get the light show when you plug the MF in? Does the ctrl light in traktor light up when you press a button? Which mapping are you using? |
